How to use Instant Optimizer
This short guide will walk you through everything you need to do to use Instant Optimizer to create Web sites.
In other tutorials, we cover advanced usage of Instant Optimizer. Here, the goal is to explain the basic
functioning and to help you understand how to best use our product.

The first step is to create an account. If you haven't already done so, just click on the "Create Account"
button at the bottom of this page. You will have to provide your email address and a password. And to
continue, you must go to your inbox to verify that your email address is yours.

Once you have created and verified your account, you can login. On login, you will come to your Memnbers' Page.
Instant Optimizer (and all of its sister sites) uses credits to work. Just like a video game, you buy credits
beforehand, and then can use them to make Instant Optimizer work for you! So, once logged in, click on the Buy
Credits button atop the page.

Each page that you crawl will cost 1 credit. And each page that you create will also cost 1 credit. So, if you
buy 1000 credits, for example, you will spend maybe 10 credits creating a "template". You can then use that
template to create 990 individual pages. Of course, you don't have to create that many. We suggest that you
consider buying a starting package of 100 credits. You also might check out the PRO membership which offers
monthly credits, as well as a compelling affiliate program.

Now that you have credits, click on the "Create Template" link atop the page.
Templates are used as instructions for how your site should be created -- a template includes both the lists of
words and sentences as the basic building blocks, as well as powerful Instant Optimizer-specific HTML
instructions for how those building blocks should be assembled.
You can create a template based on search results (the top listings of a particular search will be used), from a
Web site (for example, you can use your existing site), or from individual pages (maybe you have a list of URLs
from multiple different sites that you own).

This this example, we chose to create a Template from an existing Web site, namely our sister site
massduplicator.com. We simply add the URL we want to crawl and the number of pages we want crawled. The more
pages, generally, the better. Why? Because this way we will get more content. Instant Optimizer works by
spidering the pages you specify and looking at the content. It will determine the most important keywords and
sentences and use those in "filling up" the template it will create.
Remember, each page that you crawl will cost you 1 credit.

After you have made your template, you will see it listed on your Member's Page. Now, click on the
"Create Pages" link to start building pages based on this new template!

The template page has a lot of powerful features. To start, you can probably ignore EVERYTHING and just go to
the very bottom and hit Submit. This will create a 10-page Web site for you based on content and settings that
Instant Optimizer thinks are best for you. (Please remember, you should only crawl and use content from sites
whose copyrights you have permission to use!)
If you are interested in doing some fine-tuning, we will explain what each section on the template page means
below.

The Sentences list contains the keywords and sentences that Instant Optimizer determined to be the most
important from the crawled pages. Our software does this by looking at all the content and finding the words
that are repeated the most frequently (minus a list of "excluded" words that you can configure under "ignore
list" in Options). Instant Optimizer then finds sentences that contain these words, and includes them in this
list of sentences.
You can go through this list and edit the sentences, delete those that you don't want, and add those that you
do. When you see the [[keyword "content"]] syntax, for example, this simply means that "content" is one of the
top keywords for the crawled pages, and that it appears in this location in the sentence. You can use the
"substitute random keywords" to cause all the keywords to shuffle and appear in other sentences. And you can
also indicate what percentage of the keywords you want to be turned into hyperlinks. (These hyperlinks will
automatically point to other pages in your created site...)

The Global Definitions area makes use of the special language that Instant Optimizer uses. This simple little
language allows you to "define" different chunks of HTML and what content should appear in them. For the time
being, you can ignore this section, but as you become more experienced with Instant Optimizer you can read the
notes in that area carefully to understand how to use it. There is also a User Manual for the language that
Instant Optimizer uses.

The HTML Instructions also uses the special language. But this area also includes standard HTML. As you become
more experienced, you can make easy changes here to dramatically alter the appearance of the created
site.
Note
that there are separate areas for "leaf" pages and the "home" (index) page. This allows you to create a
different home page, and different "leaf" pages.
And, at the bottom of the HTML Instructions section, you will
notice that you can specify what each page should be called... the default is to use two randomly selected
keywords followed by a number. But you can change this syntax to include more keywords, different extensions,
and so on.

At the very bottom of the page, you can specify if you want a simple Javascript cloaking command inserted into
the pages that Instant Optimizer will create for you. What is this? Simply, Javascript will be inserted into
the page that will redirect real users to whatever URL you enter here. Search engines, on the other hand, will
not notice this enrypted Javascript and will index the page. Another alternative is to use an "iframe
overwrite" which will load another URL over the Instant Optimizer page. The purposes of both these
techniques is to present real users with different content than search engines.
Of course, you can leave this area blank. Other customers use Instant Optimizer to create pages that contain
banner ads, pop-ups, AdSense content, and more. To do these things, you can make whatever changes you need to
the HTML Instructions area.
Here, also, you specify the number of pages that you want built. Remember, each page created will cost 1
credit. So if you build 100 pages, you will be charged 100 credits. The best bet is to start by creating a
very small site... say 3 pages. This way, you can see if the resulting pages look the way you want. If not,
finetune them. Then make another 3 page site. Then finetune some more. When you have the perfect pages,
create an intermediate sized site, say 10 pages. (Remember, larger page sites will include more links and other
things on each page.)

After you hit submit, just wait a few seconds and your site will be created. (Please note, if you are creating
a very, very large site, say >2000 pages, it will take up to 30 minutes to create your site. Please check your
Members' Page frequently to see when it has successfully completed.)
The links to your site pages will NOT include any redirection or overwriting that you might have included. This
is so you can take a look at the underlying content. (Don't worry, the redirection/overwriting will be included
in the pages that are in the zip.)
Remember, the "index" page will look different from the leaf pages. Carefully go through the pages to see if
they meet your needs.
You cannot edit these pages in Instant Optimizer. If you want to change a few things, you can download the zip
and edit them with your favorite HTML editor. What you can do, of course, is change the underlying template so
that FUTURE crawls will take into account your changes.

The above 4 pages are simple examples of pages created. Instant Optimizer follows the instructions in the HTML
Instructions to create the content. Notice that, by default, this includes such nicities as pull-quotes,
sidebars, site maps, images, navigation bars, and so on. Don't like the look and feel? You can easily change
the appearance and layout by editing the template. (Each new template you create will have the same default
HTML Instructions, so don't worry about "messing up" any future template.)
All the hyperlinks point to other pages created by Instant Optimizer. This lets the search engines spider and
find all the pages of your site. The content is assembled according to the instructions provided... generally,
this will mean randomly mixing sentences together to produce a site that appears to be totally unique, legible,
and stable. (Only on close inspection will users realize that the content doesn't quite make sense!)
Remember, it is important that you use Instant Optimizer on sites whose copyrights you have permission to use.
You can use content that you have created. You can use open-source content who explicitly allow you to use
their content. You can possibly use source content of sites who you are affiliates for. And so on.
You can change the default images easily. The HTML refers to images like 1.gif, 2.gif, and so on. When you
upload the Instant Optimizer pages to your site, you can add your own 1.gif, 2.gif, and so on. (You can
alternatively change the HTML Instructions to refer to more meaningful names.)

Back on your Member's Page, you will notice that each created page, as well as the complete zip, is recorded
next to its associated template. For as long as you keep your account, the template and created pages and zips
will be preserved. (To help us reduce storage needs, we would appreciate your deletion of pages and zips that
you no longer need.)
We also invite you to carefully inspect the great affiliate program that we have. You can find this on the
right-hand side of your Member's Page: this affiliate program is up-to 5 levels deep, with recurring payouts,
and other very cool features (such as the ability to send referred users to ANY page on our site, not just the
root page).
